Perhaps next time you peel that delectable fruit you'll feel the power of God's creation.

Science would contend that bananas are an outcome of evolution based on symbiosis and natural selection. It would be interesting to know how much humans have depended on bananas in the past for food/survival. The banana, however, may not stand to benefit from the advance of human civilization. The pessimistic type might even argue that someday bananas won't exist because of our record with pollution and the environment. Bananas have been spread by humans, to counter that argument - and may even be spread to live on other planets if we advance in space colonization or extraterrestrial agriculture, if you will. So the fate of the banana lies in the hands of humans, in a way. And without bananas and other foods, the human would have little reason to live. Thus, long live the banana!
