This article is so true. I have a hard time telling a woman I like her haircut. My usual attempted compliment goes like this:

Me: Hey , did you get your haircut?
Woman: Hi, yeah I did yesterday!
Me: Umm...it looks....different.
Woman: Uh, thanks, I guess.
